A WARM WELCOME TO THE TENTH MEMBER OF OUR TRUST FAMILY

A Warm Welcome to the Tenth Member of Our Trust Family

We are delighted to share the exciting news that our family of schools has grown once again, as we officially welcome our tenth member school into full membership of Greensand Multi Academy Trust.

Having been an Associate Member for the past two and a half years, Epsom Downs Community School & Early Years Centres has already been working with us as a valued part of our wider Trust community. During this time, strong relationships have been forged, best practice has been shared, support has been given and our spirit of collaboration has flourished. This transition to full membership is a natural next step and one we are incredibly pleased to take together.

“We would like to extend a warm welcome to the children, staff, governors and families of Epsom Downs. It is a joy to have you formally join us, and we look forward to all we will achieve together in the years ahead. Together, we continue to grow schools that are even better tomorrow than they are today.”

Sue Wardlow, Greensand CEO

At the heart of Greensand is a firm belief in the power of working collaboratively. Our schools support one another, share expertise and resources, and continually challenge ourselves to provide the very best for the children and communities we serve. Each school brings its own strengths, character and heritage to our collective, and it is this diversity, combined with a shared commitment to excellence, that makes us stronger together.

Whilst Epsom Downs will retain its unique identity and the strong ties it holds with its local community, we are excited about the opportunities this full membership brings for joint initiatives, staff development and innovative projects. The school’s journey of improvement and growth over recent years has been inspiring, and we know that their contributions such as their expertise on Nurture will further enrich the Trust as a whole.

From inter-school events and collaborative learning projects to shared professional development sessions, the continued possibilities for children and staff to step into their greatness are many.

Anya Salisbury, Headteacher at Epsom Downs said:

“We’re delighted to officially become part of Greensand Multi Academy Trust, a Trust that consistently places the success and happiness of its pupils and staff at the heart of everything it does. Having spent the past two and a half years as Associate Members, we’ve already seen first-hand the benefits of being part of such a collaborative and forward-thinking community.

For Epsom Downs, being part of this family of schools means we’re able to preserve our school’s distinctive ethos and strong sense of community, whilst also tapping into a wider network of expertise and resources that simply wouldn’t be accessible to us on our own.”

Children and staff at the school enjoyed a special ‘Green Day’ last week to celebrate the transition over to Greensand, with children and staff wearing green. In an informative whole school assembly, the children watched a welcome video from Sue Wardlow and School Ambassadors had the opportunity to share with pupils the interview they held with Sue Wardlow, the CEO of Greensand, where they learned about the vision & values of the Trust.
