Alison is an Accountant with experience in finance and commercial business, having worked in the insurance and health and social care industries. She has also been on the Board of Directors/Trustees of an independent school. Alison is keen to continue her voluntary career supporting local charities in her community by using skills from her corporate background. Her current role is developing assets within the social care sector where she works for a large provider of care services. She has lived in the Reigate area for 18 years and has a 11-year old daughter.
John has been a teacher since 1978 and has extensive experience of school leadership, having been a Headteacher of four different schools since 1995. He was Headteacher of Holmesdale Infant School for 10 years until July 2007 during which the school achieved outstanding Ofsted status. John retired in 2016 and has been working as a consultant in education management. John has worked as a National Primary Strategy Consultant Leader, working with leadership teams in various schools, and a Support Tutor, Trainer and Assessor on the Surrey Graduate Teacher programme and now carries out work on ITT with Bromley Collegiate. He has expertise in educational leadership, school leadership & organisational development, teacher evaluation and whole school evaluation.
Julian is a qualified actuary, working locally in Reigate for a FTSE250 insurance company specialising in the retirement market. Before that he worked for an international consultancy, also based in Reigate. Until May 2019, he was a councillor on Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, representing a ward in Redhill, where he also lives. Over his nearly 20 years as a councillor he was involved in most areas of the Council's work, from operational refuse and recycling collection, planning, liaison with the voluntary sector and financial and commercial matters. Locally, Julian served a term as a Board member of Raven Housing Trust, the largest local housing provider, serving on the Audit Committee. He is also a trustee of Loveworks, a locally focussed charity carrying out projects for local people in need.
Edward has been a Solicitor for over 20 years and is a partner and Head of the Commercial Property department in local law firm, Morrisons Solicitors LLP. He lives in Reigate.
Sue has taught and been a Headteacher in the local area since 1979, including a number of years at Earlswood Infant and Junior School. She has an MA in Leadership and Early Years Education and was a Local Leader of Education, working closely with other heads on school improvement. Sue is also a support tutor and assessor for school based initial teacher trainees. Sue has a good knowledge of the local area and is committed to supporting collaboration, the sharing of expertise and cooperation between schools.
