Stepping into our Greatness: Greensand MAT's Bold New People Strategy

What does it take to create a workplace where every individual feels valued, empowered, and inspired to excel? At Greensand Multi Academy Trust, we believe the answer lies in a clear, unified approach to people practices; one that aligns with our vision and sets the stage for long-term success.

This year marks a significant milestone for us. We’ve streamlined and unified our people practices into a cohesive five-year plan and are excited to share with you our new People Strategy 2025–2030. This strategy is designed to support our workforce now and in the future. It’s more than a plan, it’s a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and investment in our people.

This strategy is designed to attract diverse talent, nurture leadership, and champion equality; building a sustainable, high-performing organisation that reflects our values and delivers impact for the communities we serve.

The strategy sets out four Steps to Greatness:

This means embedding our Trust values Collaboration, Support, and Challenge into everything we do, from recruitment to leadership development. It’s about creating a joyful and purposeful workplace where success is shared and diversity is embraced.

    Decisions should be driven by insight. By harnessing people analytics and high-quality evidence, we’ll make informed, transparent choices that enhance wellbeing, growth, performance and retention. This data-led approach ensures we remain agile, responsive, and focused on our people.

    Professional growth is a cornerstone of this strategy. We’re prioritising tailored training, mentoring, and wellbeing initiatives to help staff learn, innovate, and excel together. From personalised CPD plans to leadership pathways, we’re investing in development that builds resilience and inspires aspiration.
     
  4. Great Systems & Structures

    Behind every thriving workforce is a strong foundation. We’re implementing robust HR systems and governance to streamline processes, improve transparency, and enable timely, strategic decisions. These structures will support clarity, accountability, and high performance across the organisation.
