How cognitive science impacts on how we teach

This week we return to the first strand of the Greensand PACE model, the Science of Learning. 

This blog reminds us why it's important not just for teachers to understand how the basics of cognitive science can impact on how we teach our lessons, but that this knowledge needs to be shared with our students so that they can see the purpose of why we favour some activities over others. For example, why we cold call or why students need to be mindful of where their attention is across a lesson.
